It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Frank Faubion, who peacefully departed this life on July 9, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on October 26, 1961, in Knoxville, Tennessee, at Baptist Hospital, Robert was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and friend. He was surrounded by his loving family at Vanderbilt Hospital as he concluded a long and courageous battle, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and resilience. The son of Rufus and Betty (Moore) Faubion, Robert was predeceased by his parents, his sisters Brenda Blackburn and Linda Rouse (Bill), and his brother Randy. He is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Kimberly (Turner) Faubion, who was his steadfast partner through all of life's journeys. Together, Robert and Kimberly raised three wonderful daughters: Sarah, Hannah, and Rebekah, who were his pride and joy. Robert also leaves behind his brother Rick, along with cherished nieces Michelle (Mark) Quarrels and Micha (Ramon) Carrasco, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who were a significant part of his life. A proud graduate of South-Young High School and State Tech (now Pellissippi State Community College), Robert dedicated his professional life to serving his community. His career included meaningful tenures with the Knoxville News Sentinel, Watt Saver, Bell South, and Massey Electric (Fiber). For nearly 23 years, Robert was a respected member of the IBEW and worked at the TVA Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, where he was known for his committed work ethic and integrity. Robert was a man of faith, deeply involved in his church communities. He was an active member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church, where he and Kimberly taught Children's Sunday School for 13 years. He also served at Prospect Baptist Church for 13 years as a youth Sunday School teacher and youth leader, sharing his wisdom and kindness with countless young lives. In his spare time, Robert found joy in the tranquility of fishing and the creative satisfaction of woodworking. He had a passion for cooking, delighting family and friends with his culinary talents. Known for his dry wit and kind heart, Robert had a remarkable ability to bring laughter and warmth to any gathering. As we mourn the loss of Robert, we also celebrate the profound impact he had on all who knew him. His legacy of love, humor, and dedication will continue to inspire us. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Robert's honor, as a testament to his generous spirit and commitment to helping others. Robert Frank Faubion will be dearly missed and forever remembered in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
