It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Robert Earl House Sr., who left this world peacefully on October 30, 2026. Born on June 15, 1945, in Atmore, Alabama, Robert was the cherished son of the late Leo and Mary Lee House. Robert's life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and the simple joys of life. He spent many years contributing his skills and passion at Flower Wood Nursery, where his work was as nurturing as the plants he tended. After retirement, Robert found fulfillment in farming, a pursuit that allowed him to connect with the land and continue to nurture life around him. Known for his endearing smile, Robert's presence was a beacon of warmth and kindness. He brought joy to those around him with his easy-going nature and the stories he shared while sitting at his favorite store, surrounded by friends. His smile was his signature, a constant reminder of the positivity he radiated even in challenging times. Robert was a beloved family man, predeceased by his siblings Thomas, Monava, Barbara McGhee, Eddie, and BoBo House. He leaves behind a loving family who cherished him deeply: his children Robert House, Greg Dortch, Endoria House, and Mitch House, as well as five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. A service to honor Robert's life will be held on November 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the My. Gillead Baptist Church, located at 12 Church St. Family and friends are invited to gather and remember a man who left an indelible mark on everyone he met. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Robert's generous spirit and his commitment to helping others. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Mobile Infirmary and Atmore Nursing Home for the compassionate care provided to Robert. Your kindness and dedication will never be forgotten. As we celebrate Robert's life, we hold onto the love and memories he leaves behind, a testament to a life well-lived and a legacy that will endure through the generations.
