Robert was predeceased by his cherished wife, Sarah Davis, with whom he shared a remarkable 50-year marriage. Together, they raised a family grounded in love and resilience, values that Robert held dear throughout his life.
He served his country proudly as a head cook in the U.S. Navy, where he brought warmth and comfort to his fellow sailors with his culinary skills and infectious sense of humor. His service to the nation was a testament to his character—steadfast, dedicated, and always ready to lend a hand.
Following his military service, Robert continued to share his culinary talents at the state prison, where he served as the head cook for 20 years. Robert is survived by his loving children, daughters Peggy Harbaugh and Helen Musselman, and son Robert Davis. His legacy continues through his nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, each of whom carries forward a piece of his heart. Robert's family was his pride and joy, and he relished every moment spent in their company, whether it was sharing a meal or simply enjoying the laughter of his grandchildren.
