Robert "Chipper" A. Blackwell Jr., a beloved husband and cherished member of his community, passed away on July 20, 2026, at the age of 57. Born on February 18, 1969, in Frankfurt, Germany, Chipper's journey through life was marked by hard work, love, and friendships that spanned decades. Chipper was the devoted husband to Yvonne Stobodzian Blackwell, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage for 30 years. Their enduring partnership was a testament to the love and companionship that defined his life. Chipper was also a dear son-in-law to Helen Stobodzian, who survives him. His educational journey began at West Side Tech High School, where he laid the foundation for a life full of diverse experiences. Chipper had a varied career, working as a laborer in numerous fields. From asbestos removal to truck driving and lawn and landscaping care, he approached each role with diligence and dedication. Beyond his work, Chipper found joy in the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, pursuits that brought him immense satisfaction and peace. He had a passion for mud bogging and car racing, hobbies that reflected his spirited and adventurous nature. Chipper's heart was also captured by his three Labrador Retrievers and his beloved cat, companions who brought him endless joy. Chipper's life was one of love and warmth, characterized by his hardworking spirit and his deep affection for those around him. His kind-heartedness and unwavering support enriched the lives of all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Edward Blackwell, whose memory he cherished throughout his life. In accordance with his wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor Chipper's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Chipper's memory may consider making a donation to a charity of their choice in his name. Though he is no longer with us, Chipper's spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of his loved ones and friends.
