Robert Bryant, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. Born on February 12, 1958, in Louisburg, North Carolina, Robert was a beacon of kindness and resilience throughout his life. The son of the late John and Patricia Bryant, Robert was predeceased by his brothers Earl, Walter, and Clifford Bryant, and his baby sister, Melanie Bryant. Despite the challenges of losing loved ones, Robert's spirit remained indomitable, uplifting those around him with his unwavering positivity and warmth. Robert is survived by his devoted wife of 18 years, Ronda Renee Shaw, who was by his side until the very end. Together, they shared a life filled with love and mutual respect. Robert's legacy continues through his three daughters, Naomi Bryant, Keisha Bryant, and Michelle Long, as well as his four cherished grandchildren, Mieisha, Karen, Isaiah, and Brandon. The joy of his life extended to his great-grandchild, who brightened his days with laughter and love. In his early years, Robert completed his education in Louisburg, North Carolina. He dedicated his career to various warehouse and distribution roles throughout the state, eventually retiring as a machine operator and forklift driver from Eastern Minerals. His work ethic and commitment were admired by all who had the privilege of working alongside him. Robert possessed a zest for life that was evident in his hobbies and interests. A passionate dancer, he often entered dance contests, bringing energy and rhythm to the dance floor. He also found solace in drawing and enjoyed the simple pleasure of fixing cars, always eager to lend a hand to those in need. A true testament to his character, Robert was actively involved in the Kidney Foundation for 14 years, even after receiving a kidney transplant in 2016. His dedication to helping others, despite his own health challenges, was a source of inspiration and hope for many. Robert's family will forever remember his ability to see the good in others, his refusal to complain in the face of adversity, and his determination to never give up. His gentle spirit and unwavering strength touched the hearts of all who knew him. A service to celebrate Robert's life will be held on August 29, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Davis Royster Funeral Home, located at 925 W. Garnet St., Henderson, NC 27546. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Duke University medical team, particularly the kidney transplant team, and the Wake Forest rescue team for their exceptional care and support during Robert's journey.
