On June 7, 1963, he married the love of his life, Nan Clawson, in a beautiful ceremony at the Salt Lake City Temple. Together, they built a strong and loving family, celebrating 65 years of marriage. Their union was blessed with six children: Robert, Scott, John, Holly Howarth, Amy Whitmore, and Lisa Zollinger, who were the pride and joy of his life. His enduring legacy is reflected in the values and love he instilled in his family, who will carry forward his spirit of kindness and compassion. A man of great intellect and curiosity, Robert pursued his education with enthusiasm. Their shared faith brought them back to serve in the Salt Lake Temple and participate in various events on Temple Square, where they touched many lives with their warmth and generosity. In addition to his family and faith, Robert had a passion for fishing and golfing. His love for the great outdoors provided countless cherished memories with family and friends, and he often found peace and joy in the simple beauty of nature.
