Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maryrose, with whom he shared almost 70 years of unwavering devotion and partnership. His heart, once heavy with the loss of Maryrose, is now peacefully at rest beside her. Bobby's early years were spent in Florida, where he graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1947, before proudly earning his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in 1951. A true Gator at heart, his loyalty to his alma mater was unparalleled. As a Gator Booster since 1962 and a Bull Gator since 1994, Bobby generously contributed over one million dollars and gave tirelessly of his time, fostering the dreams of countless students and cheering on his favorite team with unyielding enthusiasm. In 1954, Bobby embarked on a career with New York Life that would span an extraordinary 72 years. His tenure there was more than a career; it was a vocation marked by integrity and an unwavering commitment to service. Bobby was not only a consummate professional but also a mentor and a friend to many. His influence shaped the careers of numerous colleagues, leaving an indelible mark on generations of New York Life professionals. His legacy of dedication and perseverance will be remembered fondly. Bobby was a man of simple joys and profound integrity. He cherished the time spent with his family and friends, whether gathered around the family table for a game of cards or sharing the bounty of his garden. His laughter was infectious, and his spirit was one of generosity, often delivering homegrown tomatoes to loved ones, a gesture that spoke volumes of his nurturing nature. A service to celebrate Bobby's life will be held on July 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Blount & Curry Terrace Oaks Chapel, located at 12690 N. 56th Street, Temple Terrace, FL. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the life of a man who touched so many with his warmth and generosity.
