It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert "Bobby" Hammond, who departed this world peacefully on April 17, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on September 23, 1961, in Huntington, NY, Bobby was the beloved son of the late Alfred and Margaret Hammond. He leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and dedication that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Bobby's life was a testament to the power of passion and perseverance. After spending his formative years in the community of Huntington, he embarked on a journey that would see him reach remarkable heights in the world of media and television production. Starting his illustrious career as a News Video Photographer in Tucson, Bobby's natural talent and dedication quickly became evident. His vision and creativity led him to establish his own TV production company in Phoenix, where he flourished as the Owner and President of Media Solutions for over 25 years. His work was not only recognized by his peers but also celebrated with four prestigious Emmy Awards and numerous accolades that highlighted his significant contributions to the industry.
Beyond his professional achievements, Bobby was a man of simple joys and profound kindness. He was an avid dog lover, finding immense happiness in the company of his furry companions. Many of his fondest moments were spent at home, tending to his BBQ and relishing the warmth of close friends and family. His love for animals and his gentle spirit touched everyone he met, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
In 1998, Bobby married the love of his life, Diane Hammond, with whom he shared a beautiful and enduring partnership. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. Diane was his steadfast companion and confidante, and their bond was an inspiration to all who knew them.
Bobby's passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his spirit will live on in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He is survived by his devoted wife, Diane, sister, Kathy (husband Steve, deceased) Donahue, brothers, Tom (Jackie), Al (Kathleen), Bill, Fred and his many nieces and nephews.
A service to honor Bobby's life will be held on April 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Bobby's memory to the Humane Society (azhumane.org/), a cause that was close to his heart and truly reflective of his compassion for all living creatures.
As we say goodbye to Bobby, we remember a man who lived life to the fullest, with a heart full of love and a spirit that inspired us all. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy of kindness and creativity continue to inspire future generations.
