Robert Allen Pino

December 30, 1931 — July 5, 2026

Robert Allen Pino, affectionately known as Bob, passed away peacefully at his home on July 5, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on December 30, 1931, in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, Bob was the cherished son of the late Antonio and Louise Meach Pino. Bob's life was a testament to love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to his family. He was predeceased by his beloved parents and his dear grandson, Mark Antonio "Max" Calderone. Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 70 years, Elizabeth "Bette" Pino, with whom he shared a beautiful life since their marriage on October 8, 1955, in West Stockbridge, Massachusetts. He is survived by his wife and their four daughters, Jane, Marlene, Lynn (Wayne Dolby), and Ruth Pino, who were the pride and joy of his life. A graduate of the former Searles High School in Great Barrington, class of 1948, Bob began his career at the former Monument Mills, where he met his lifelong love, Bette. His career journey later took him to various paper mills in Lee, where he dedicated 30 years of hard work before retiring. As a chauffeur, he traveled to Florida's gulf coast each winter, where he discovered his passion for the New York Yankees—a passion that lasted a lifetime. Bob's heart was as vast as his interests. He found immense joy in gardening, reading, and most importantly, spending quality time with his family. A keeper of memories, he was rarely without a camera, always ready to capture life's precious moments. His family fondly remembers his infectious laughter and his role as the jolly Santa, donning his hat each Christmas to spread joy as he handed out gifts. Bob's legacy extends through his grandchildren, Jennifer Calderone, Heather Nicolai Oliver, and Dillon Calderone, and great-grandchildren, Dylan, Hudson, and Everett Calderone, and Hannah Oliver. His remarkable ability to brighten any situation with humor and compassion will forever be cherished by all who knew him. A service to honor Bob's remarkable life will be held on July 13, 2026, with visitation from 3:00-4:00 PM, immediately followed with a memorial service at Finnerty and Stevens Funeral Home, located at 426 Main Street, Great Barrington, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you remember Bob in your own meaningful way. Honor his memory through acts of kindness and love, laugh out loud, work hard, and spend as much time as possible with the people you cherish. Bob's spirit will live on through the love and laughter he inspired in his family and friends.
