Born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1942, in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, Robbie was a beacon of warmth and kindness to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Robbie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Polly Quinn, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage beginning on January 15, 1984. She also joins in rest her cherished daughter, Jeanette Walker, and her grandson, Larry Walker Jr. Throughout her 96 years, Robbie's life was marked by a dedication to service, family, and the community. She worked tirelessly in the healthcare field for over 35 years as a registered nurse, offering care, compassion, and comfort to countless individuals. Even after retiring from nursing, Robbie continued to serve others through sitting service work, always putting the needs of others before her own. Robbie's nurturing spirit was evident not only in her professional life but also in her personal passions. She found immense joy in cooking and baking, often gathering her family around a table filled with love, laughter, and delicious meals. Her home was a sanctuary where her loved ones could always find warmth and comfort. Blessed with a bright smile and an infectious sense of humor, Robbie had a unique ability to bring light to any room. Her laughter and joy were gifts she shared freely, making the world a brighter place for everyone around her. Robbie’s legacy continues through her devoted sons, Jerry, Larry, and Vernell, and her seven grandchildren: Quimeesha, Natasha, Iesha, Corey, Keith, and Brian Walker. She leaves behind 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her spirit of love and service. In honoring Robbie's memory, the family wishes to express their gratitude to those who offered support and love during her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to a healthcare charity or organization of your choice, reflecting her lifelong commitment to caring for others.
