In Loving Memory of RJ Foultz
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved RJ Foultz, who left this world far too soon at the tender age of twelve. RJ was born on October 4, 2013, in Syracuse, NY, and passed away on April 12, 2026, at the hospital following a severe seizure and brain bleed. Though his time with us was brief, the impact he made on our lives was immeasurable.
RJ was a bright and enthusiastic seventh-grade honor roll student at Fulton Middle School. His academic achievements mirrored his curious and inquisitive nature. RJ's teachers often remarked on his eagerness to learn and his ability to inspire those around him with his radiant smile and pretty blue eyes. He was a beacon of kindness and compassion, always ready to lend a helping hand and stand up against injustice, particularly bullying. His caring spirit and genuine love for others made him a cherished friend and a beloved member of the community.
RJ was a young soul with a zest for life and the great outdoors. He found joy in the simple pleasures of fishing and playing soccer, always eager to explore the world around him. His summers were filled with laughter and adventure at summer camp, where he formed cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. RJ's love for his siblings, both adopted and biological, was boundless, and his warmth and affection brought joy to their lives every day.
Those who knew RJ will fondly remember his vibrant personality and his ability to light up any room he entered. Whether he was tearing into a delicious slice of pizza or spending a day at the zoo, his infectious enthusiasm was a testament to his love for life. RJ's generosity of spirit extended beyond his family and friends, as he was known for reaching out to those in need, embodying the very essence of kindness and empathy.
RJ is survived by his loving parents, Carole and Jim Buskirk, who cherished every moment spent with their precious son. He is also remembered by his siblings, who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. RJ was predeceased by his grandparents, Terry and Carlos Buskirk, and his uncle, Tony Garza. The family takes comfort in knowing that RJ is now reunited with them in peace.
In a private ceremony, RJ's life will be honored and celebrated by those who knew him best. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the hospital and EMT staff for their compassionate care and to all who have shown unwavering love and support during RJ's time on earth.
Though RJ's time with us was short, his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we say goodbye, we hold onto the countless memories and the love that will remain with us forever.
Rest in peace, dear RJ. Your legacy of love and kindness will live on eternally.
