He left this world surrounded by the warmth and love of his family, at his home, completing a beautiful journey of 66 years. Rito was born on September 1, 1959, in Tracy, California, to proud parents Rito Zuniga Sr. and Elias Zuniga. From a young age, Rito exhibited a boundless spirit and a zest for life that would define his years. His childhood in Tracy was filled with laughter, mischief, and the early formation of lifelong friendships. In 1972, Rito found the love of his life, Hope Zuniga. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and partnership, standing as a beacon of commitment and dedication. Together, they built not only a family but a legacy of love, nurturing their children and teaching them the values of kindness, integrity, and resilience. Rito was the proud father of Rito Zuniga Jr., Robert Zuniga, Richard Zuniga, Randy Zuniga, Sylvia Zuniga, Veronica Zuniga, and Angie Zuniga. His love for his children was unconditional and boundless, a constant source of strength and guidance throughout their lives. His legacy extends through his 22 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and whom he adored beyond measure. Rito was a man of many talents, known for his unwavering work ethic and his generous spirit. He touched countless lives with his wisdom and humor, always ready with a story to share or a helping hand to offer. His laughter was infectious, and his presence was a source of comfort and joy to all who knew him. The Zuniga family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Rito’s life and legacy on March 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. A service will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home, located at 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA 95326. This gathering will be a time to honor Rito’s remarkable life, sharing memories and celebrating the love he so generously gave. Rito Zuniga’s life was a tapestry of love, family, and friendship. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. As we say goodbye, we do so with gratitude for the moments shared and the love he left behind. His spirit will continue to shine brightly, guiding his family and friends as they carry forward his legacy of kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Rito’s name to a charity of your choice, spreading the love and generosity that he embodied throughout his life.
