Rilla Mae Tyler

In loving memory of Rilla Mae Tyler, who passed away peacefully on October 27, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on July 3, 1933, in the close-knit community of Toomsuba, Mississippi, Rilla was the cherished daughter of Charlie and Lillie Maude Betts. Her life was a testament to strength, love, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. Rilla was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Robert Tyler, and her son, Alexander "BoBo" Tyler. Despite these profound losses, she remained a pillar of strength for her family, guiding them with her wisdom and love. Rilla's legacy is carried on by her loving children: Charlie Warren of Toomsuba, Mississippi; Cappiella Cloud of Detroit, Michigan; Lorenzo Tyler of Toomsuba, Mississippi; and Levon (Stacey) Tyler of Cordova, Tennessee. She is also survived by her dear siblings: Leon (Effie) Betts of Meridian, Mississippi; Mattie Green of Detroit, Michigan; Ruby Bell of Toomsuba, Mississippi; and Roscoe (Rosie) Betts of Toomsuba, Mississippi. Her family was her pride and joy, and she was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were touched by her kindness and generosity. Rilla dedicated many years of her life working with Owens Brothers and Mosby Packing Companies until her well-deserved retirement. Her work ethic and dedication were admired by all who knew her. Rilla's warmth, compassion, and unwavering spirit will be forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with those she loved who have gone before her.
