With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Ricky Lee Bowman Sr., a cherished son, father, brother, and friend. Ricky's remarkable journey began on January 24, 1968, in Burlington, Iowa, and concluded peacefully surrounded by the warmth and love of his family on June 16, 2026. Ricky was the beloved son of Jerry and Rebecca Bowman. He is predeceased by his loving mother, Rebecca Bowman, and his dear brother, Joey Bowman Sr., whose memories he held close to his heart. Ricky's legacy lives on through his surviving family: his father, Jerry Bowman Sr.; his children, Ricky Bowman Jr., Gennifer Allison, Stephanie Minney, and Brandon Bowman; his brother, Jerry Bowman; sister, Cindy Stoneking; and a host of cherished nieces, nephews, and six grandchildren. A proud student of Central High School, Ricky furthered his education at Hamilton Technical College, where he earned a welder's degree. With skillful hands and a masterful touch, he pursued a successful career as a welder, where his dedication and craftsmanship were respected and admired. Beyond his professional achievements, Ricky was a man of many passions. His love for his children and family was paramount, Music filled his soul, and the serenity he found in fishing brought him peace. Ricky's warm smile and quick wit endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His generosity and kindness left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered, touching countless hearts throughout his life. A celebration of Ricky's life will be held on June 27, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Centennial Park in Davenport, Iowa. Family, friends, and all whose lives Ricky touched are invited to gather and honor the beautiful legacy he leaves behind. As we bid farewell to Ricky Lee Bowman Sr., we find solace in the love and memories he leaves with us. His family shares this heartfelt message: "Forever in our hearts." Ricky's spirit will live on in the stories, laughter, and love shared by those who knew and loved him.
