It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ricky Gore, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this world peacefully on June 10, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on February 1, 1957, in Dallas, Texas, Ricky was the cherished son of Jimmie and Barbara Gore. He was a man whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone he met, and his indomitable spirit remained strong even throughout his long battle with cancer. Ricky was a devoted family man, and his greatest joy came from the love and pride he had for his family. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Sandy Gore, with whom he shared an extraordinary 49-year journey of love and companionship. Their love story began in 1977, a bond that grew stronger with each passing year. Together, they built a beautiful family and a life filled with laughter, adventure, and countless cherished memories. He is survived by his loving children: Jason Gore and his wife Sheri, Misty Baker and her husband Todd, Stephanie Gore, Jimmy Gore and his wife Miranda, and Joshua Tanner. Ricky was a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren: Tanner Kennedy, Jayce Gore, Jaydn Gore, Clayton Garner, Kylie Worthington, Hunter Worthington, Reise Gore, Preslee Gore, Heith Gore, Anistyn Gore, and Memphis Gore. Each of them was a testament to the legacy of love and warmth he fostered. Ricky was predeceased by his parents, Jimmie and Barbara Gore, and his sister, Donna Burkett. He is also survived by his sisters, Becky Burkett and Tonya Gore, who shared in his life's journey and joys. Dirt track racing was more than just a hobby for Ricky; it was his passion. In his early years, he found exhilaration and life on the track, competing with zeal and skill. As time passed, he found immense joy in watching his sons, Jason and Jimmy, continue the racing legacy, cheering them on with pride and excitement. The roar of the engines and the thrill of the race were sounds that brought him great happiness and a sense of community. Ricky's legacy is one of love, perseverance, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear. His life serves as a testament to the power of family, the importance of pursuing one's passions, and the strength found in love and resilience. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, his infectious laughter, and his unwavering support for his family and friends. His presence in our lives was a gift, and he will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ricky's memory to a cancer research organization of your choice, to continue the fight against the disease that took him from us. As we say goodbye to Ricky, we hold onto the memories, the lessons, and the love he shared with us all. He may have left this earth, but he will forever remain in our hearts.
