Ricky Dean Cook

Rick Dean Cook, 67 of Lakewood Colorado passed peacefully in his sleep at his daughters' home on July 6th, 2026. He was a loving father, son, brother, grandfather and friend and will be deeply missed. He spent his life devoted to his work and was always the man who showed up no matter the circumstance. His work ethic was an inspiration.  He loved fishing, the rocky mountains, the Denver Broncos, his GMC Sierra and of course any pretty bartender he came across. He was kind, loving and always good for a laugh. His last day with us he was flirting with his social worker and crabbing at his daughter that she was going to be late for work.  He kept his sense of humor through his illness making jokes in even the most uncomfortable of situations. His lightheartedness lasted to the end. The loss of his laugh which could best be characterized as a giggle, will leave world a little bit darker of a place. He is survived by his children, Stephanie, Michael and Jacob, mother Janet, brother Tim, sister Debbie, 2 grandchildren Brennan and Kendrick and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Ivan.
