It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ricky Dale Lee, a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend, who left this world on June 19, 2026, at the age of 57. Ricky was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on November 16, 1968, to the late Lorraine Lee Moore, and John Edward Moore Sr. Ricky's life was a tapestry of vibrant colors and varied experiences, marked by a remarkable ability to connect with those around him. A graduate of Clinton High School's Class of 1987, he went on to excel in a multitude of roles, showcasing his diverse talents as a truck driver, cook, and artist. Despite the many paths his career took, Ricky's true passion lay in the simple joys of life—cooking and fishing, pursuits that brought him peace and happiness. His quick wit and warm smile were legendary, always ready with a joke to brighten even the darkest days. To know Ricky was to feel welcomed and valued; his kindness and generosity left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him. His laughter and love were gifts he freely shared, touching countless lives in profound ways. Ricky's legacy lives on through his cherished children: Shatori (Cedric) Bradley, Rickayla Lee, and Alieyah Johnson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Azaree Lee of Lakeland, Florida. He adored his seven grandchildren, who were the light of his life and the proudest testament to his enduring spirit. Ricky is also survived by his loving siblings, two sisters, Mary Moore of Baker, Louisiana, and Kernesha (Marlos) O'Conner of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, along with his brother, John Edward Moore Jr. Preceded in death by his beloved mother, Lorraine Lee Moore, Ricky now joins her in eternal peace. His family takes solace in the memories they shared, the laughter that echoed in their homes, and the love that will forever bind them together. The family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Ricky's life, honoring his memory in a way that reflects his joyous spirit and generous heart. Details of the service will be shared in due course, and all who knew Ricky are welcome to join in remembrance. In this time of sorrow, we take comfort in knowing that Ricky's legacy of kindness and humor will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. His spirit remains with us, a guiding light in the lives he so profoundly touched. Rest in peace, Ricky. You will be missed dearly, and your memory will forever be a blessing.
