In Loving Memory

Ricky Dale Canady
June 25, 1963 — July 4, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ricky Dale Canady, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Rick departed this world peacefully at his home on July 4, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on June 25, 1963, in Sedalia, Missouri, he was the son of Ron Canady and Beverly Cromwell.
Rick was a man whose life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and love. He was predeceased by his mother, Beverly, his son Michael, and his brother Mike. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Cecilea Canady, who he married on July 31, 1992, in Pauls Valley. Together, they built a life full of love, commitment, and memories in Union City.
Rick was the proud father of three children: Tasha Rodgers (husband Dustin), Laura Reed (husband Wesley), and Collin Canady. His legacy continues through his five grandchildren, Shawna Everett (husband Zane), Erica Rodgers, Tiffany Rodgers, Lexi Reed, and Jaxon Reed, as well as his great-granddaughter, Hallee Everett. Rick is also survived by three sisters and two brothers.
His career as a truck driver for Simons Petroleum was marked by dedication and integrity. Rick's commitment and hard work earned him the role of a dispatcher, where he continued to make a positive impact until his retirement.
Rick was a man of simple pleasures. He was an avid NASCAR fan, a lover of Louis L'Amour's westerns, and sitting outside on the porch. But above all, Rick cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be remembered forever.
A service to honor and celebrate Rick's life will be held at the United Methodist Church of Union City, located at 300 Kate Boevers, Union City, OK 73090. Family, friends, and all who were touched by his kindness are invited to join in remembering a wonderful man.
Rick's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his memory will live on forever.
