In Loving Memory

Rickey Edward Rhea
January 26, 1953 — April 9, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rickey Edward Rhea, who departed this world on April 9, 2026. Born on January 26, 1953, in Chattanooga, TN, Rickey was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He left us peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at Erlanger Hospital. His passing was attributed to the very thing that defined him most—his big heart.
Rickey was the beloved son of the late Billy "Joe" Rhea and Beatrice Ann Rhea, and he was preceded in death by his brother, Marvin "Chuck" Rhea. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 37 years, Constance Earle Rhea, who stood by his side in life's every venture. His legacy lives on through his children, Gregory Justin Parker and Robert Edward Rhea, as well as his daughter, Jennifer Denise Parker. Rickey was also the proud grandfather of three, who brought immense joy to his life.
Rickey's spirit was one of warmth, humor, and an undeniable zest for life. Known for his quick wit and charm, he had the rare ability to light up an entire room with his presence, leaving laughter in his wake. His sense of humor was infectious, and he never missed an opportunity to bring a smile to someone's face.
An avid fisherman, Rickey found solace and happiness on the water. It was there, amidst the gentle lapping of waves and the call of nature, that he felt most at peace. His passion for cars and restoring them was a testament to his love of working with his hands, a true "gearhead" at heart. His enthusiasm for these hobbies was shared with friends and family, creating lasting memories and cherished moments.
Rickey's life will be celebrated on April 11, 2026, at Wilson's, located at 555 W Cloud Springs Rd, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742. Services will begin at 1:00 PM. Family, friends, and all whose lives he touched are invited to join in honoring Rickey's memory and celebrating the incredible life he led.
As we bid farewell to Rickey, we hold his memory close, finding comfort in the laughter he shared and the love he gave so freely. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit remains, guiding us with the same warmth and light he brought into this world. May he rest in peace, knowing he was dearly loved and will be profoundly missed.
