Richard (Dick) Jellison, 77, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on August 12, 2026. Born on June 14, 1949 in Bangor, Maine, Richard was the beloved son of Winfield and Lillian Jellison. He was blessed with a full life, rich with love, laughter, and adventures. Richard's journey in life was shared with Sheila, his devoted wife of 55 years. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising their two children, Christopher and his wife Tricia Jellison, and Michelle and her husband Brian Sulser. Richard's legacy continues through his three adored grandchildren, Alanna Sulser, and Mason and Lily Jellison, whom he cherished deeply. A proud veteran, Richard served in the Seabees, where his dedication and camaraderie left a lasting impression on those who served alongside him. Beyond his military service, he was an active member of his community, contributing his time and talents to the Eastern Star, Masons, Scottish Rite, and Anah Temple of the Shrine. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was also a member and Director of the Brother’s of the Third Wheel. These organizations were close to his heart, providing him with lasting friendships and a sense of belonging. Dick and his hobbies were a reflection of his adventurous spirit. He found joy in riding motorcycles, exploring the open road with Sheila and the wind in their hair. Camping trips were another passion, where he could enjoy the beauty of nature, and creating memories with his loved ones that would be cherished forever. Above all, Dick treasured the time spent with his wife, family, and countless friends who became family. His warm laughter and kind heart touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. A celebration of Richard's life will be held on August 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Brookings- Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor, Maine.
