Richard took his final breath surrounded by the love and warmth of his family at his home, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear. Born on February 4, 1962, in Long Beach, California, Richard was the cherished son of Jessie Soils and Loretta Scott, both of whom predeceased him. Richard was a man of incredible strength and character, qualities instilled in him by his parents, whom he always remembered with the fondest of memories. Richard was also preceded in death by his son, Michael Soils, and his grandson, Brandon Soils, losses that he bore with grace and fortitude. Richard's life was a testament to love and commitment, most notably marked by his marriage to his devoted wife, Donna Duskin-Soils. They were united in matrimony on December 14, 2001, embarking on a beautiful journey that spanned over two decades. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, love, and countless memories shared with their blended family. Richard's legacy lives on through his surviving children: Daniele Soils-Lloyd of California, and his stepchildren, Donte Denham, Dana Denham-Alvarado, Donna Denham, Willie Denham, and Billy Denham. He was a loving and guiding presence in their lives, always offering support and wisdom. His sisters, Sharon Lashay, Marlene Larkin, and Sonya Smiths, will forever cherish the bond they shared with their dear brother. Richard was also a beloved uncle to a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom he adored and encouraged throughout their lives. A proud grandfather, Richard was blessed with seven grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to his life. Though he did not have the opportunity to meet any great-grandchildren, the legacy of love and family values he instilled will undoubtedly be carried forward by the generations to come. Richard's life was enriched by the friendships he cultivated over the years. His dear friends, along with his family, will remember him for his warm smile, generous spirit, and the unwavering loyalty he showed to those he loved. As we bid farewell to Richard, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by genuine kindness and a deep love for family. While his physical presence will be profoundly missed, his memory will forever remain a beacon of love and hope in the hearts of those he touched.
