He was predeceased by his cherished grandparents, Mary and John Rice, and his dear parents, Sue and Earl Rice, whose memories he carried close to his heart. For 28 wonderful years, Richard shared his life with his devoted wife, Jenny, who stood by his side through every high and low. Their union was blessed with a son, Joseph, who was the pride and joy of Richard’s life. His legacy of love and humor continues through them and his beloved sister, Mary, who, along with all his loving nieces and nephews, will forever hold dear the countless memories they created together. Richard was a man of the great outdoors, finding peace and joy in camping trips and hiking adventures. He cherished every opportunity to immerse himself in nature, where he felt most at home. But above all, family was his greatest passion, and he treasured every moment spent with those he loved. In honoring Richard's wishes, a private funeral service will be held on May 30, 2026, where his closest family and friends will gather to celebrate a life well-lived and to say their final goodbyes.
