It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Richard Guild, who departed this life unexpectedly on February 28, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on September 20, 1956, in the quaint town of Brockton, MA, Richard's life was a testament to warmth, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to his family and friends. Richard was the beloved son of Nancy Nordbeck and the late Jimmy Guild and Hilton Nordbeck, who preceded him in death. He grew up in Foxboro, MA, sharing countless memories with his brother, Ron, and sisters, Debra and Linda. His siblings recall fondly his quick wit and warm smile, gifts that Richard shared generously with everyone he met. A proud graduate of Foxboro High School, Richard found his calling in the trucking industry, where he dedicated much of his adult life. He was not only a skilled professional but also an entrepreneur, owning and operating "Guild Trucking" for many years. His dedication to his work was matched only by his integrity and the friendships he cultivated throughout his career. Richard met and married the love of his life, Patricia "Patti" Beaucage Guild, with whom he shared countless precious moments. Their blended family was a source of immense joy for Richard. He is survived by his loving wife Patti, his daughter Kristina and her husband Stephen Jolly, his son Stephen Guild, his stepdaughter Katie Croft, and his stepson Bentley Proulx. Richard was also grandfather to Ava and Anthony Jolly Richard's passions extended beyond his professional life. He found immense joy in caring for his cherished fur babies and took pride in maintaining his home, especially his meticulously mowed lawn. His ability to make others feel welcome and comfortable was unparalleled, and his generosity touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. In addition to his immediate family, Richard is survived by his brother Ron and wife Donna Nordbeck, sister Debra and husband James Jarvis, sister Linda Hughes and her partner Edward Lacasse, and numerous nieces and nephews who will forever hold him dear in their hearts. In accordance with Richard's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate his life. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Boston Mass General Hospital for their attentive care and support during this difficult time. As we say goodbye to Richard, we find solace in knowing that his spirit lives on in the laughter he inspired and the kindness he spread. His family shares this special message: "Forever in our hearts." Richard Guild will be deeply missed, but his memory will remain everlasting in the hearts of all who loved him.
