Richard was the beloved son of Edwin Ferry and the late Judith Ferry. He is survived by his devoted father, Edwin, and his loving sister, Kimberly (Ferry) Ottman, who were his greatest sources of strength and comfort throughout his life. Richard was preceded in death by his dear mother, Judith, whose warmth and kindness he carried in his heart every day.
A proud alumnus of Chagrin Falls High School, Richard graduated with the class of 1976. During his formative years, he cultivated a deep appreciation for the natural world, a passion that stayed with him throughout his life. Richard found solace and joy in the great outdoors, whether he was casting a line into a serene lake or perfecting his aim at the shooting range. These moments of tranquility and focus were where Richard felt most at peace, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the thrill of the sport.
Richard was also known for his unwavering support of Cleveland's sports teams. As an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Guardians, he was often found cheering on his favorite teams with boundless enthusiasm and optimism, regardless of the season's outcome. His loyalty and dedication to his home teams were a testament to his steadfast character and enduring spirit.
