In Loving Memory

Richard E. Randle
April 6, 1951 — September 17, 2026
Richard Elmer Randle, 75, passed away on September 17, 2026, after a battle with multiple myeloma. He was born on April 6, 1951, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lillie Randle; his daughter, Lorrie Randle; his sister, Ella Mae Collins; and his brothers, Adolph and Michael Randle. He was also predeceased by his wife, Beverly Randle, whom he married June 16th 1973. Together they shared many years of life, raising a family and creating lasting memories until her passing.
He is survived by his daughters, Leslie (Antoine), Lisa, and Lhea; six grandchildren; his sisters, Betty Sperling, Elaine Randle, Lillian Hawkins, and Francine Ivy (Mark); and his brothers, Lonnie Bailey (Phyliss), Norris Randle (Veronica), and Larry Randle.
Richard proudly served four years in the United States Coast Guard before beginning a career with Chicago Public Schools, where he worked as a custodian for more than three decades. He believed in working hard and providing for his family, and that strong work ethic remained a defining part of his life.
Outside of work, Richard enjoyed spending time fishing and could often be found tending the grill. He especially loved hosting barbecues, cooking for family, friends, and neighbors, and was known for sharing food with those around him. For Richard, a good meal was something meant to be shared.
Richard was a man with many layers, and those who knew him understood that he lived life in his own way. Like many, Richard faced challenges throughout his life, yet he continued to move forward with resilience. In his later years, he found comfort and strength in his faith, which became an important part of his life and brought him a sense of peace. He will be remembered for his determination, his willingness to help others through simple acts of generosity, and the memories he created with those who knew and loved him.
His family finds comfort in knowing he is now at peace and reunited with those who went before him. His memory will live on in the lives of his children, grandchildren, extended family, and all who shared in the moments that mattered most. He will be remembered for his determination, his willingness to help those he loved, and the lasting impact he had on the lives of his family.
