Born on September 22, 1933, in Salamanca, New York, Richard was a beloved son to the late Donald and Lola Hinman and a cherished brother to Robert Hinman who predeceased him. Dorothy Niver who followed him that same day A proud alumnus of Salamanca High School, Richard embodied the values of hard work and dedication. His commitment to service was evident early in his life as he served his country with honor in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956. Following his military service, Richard dedicated 25 years of his career to working as a welder on the railroad, a testament to his skill and perseverance. Richard was a man of deep faith, a lifelong member of the Baptist Church, and actively involved in his community as a member of the Salamanca Volunteer Fire Department. His dedication to nurturing young minds was evident in his role as a Boy Scout leader, where his wisdom and kindness left a lasting impact. Family was the cornerstone of Richard's life he was predeceased by Deanna Bridenbaker and Helen Woods Hinman. He is survived by his devoted wife, Rose Hinman, and his children, Randy Hinman (Julie), Christine Hinman (Eugene), Richard A. Hinman (Roxanne), Lynette Hinman Cardinals (Sal), Michael Hinman (Ray), and Renee Hinman Jovenitti. Richard's legacy of love continues through his 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to his life. Richard's love for life was evident in his passions. He had an artist's soul, finding joy in drawing and painting, and he was an avid collector of Norman Rockwell's works. His love for the outdoors was shared with his family during countless camping trips. Richard's sense of humor was as vibrant as his love for playing games, from cornhole to hand and foot, he delighted in the laughter and joy these moments brought. As we remember Richard, we celebrate a man who embraced life with joy, humor, and an unwavering love for his family. His greatest pleasure came from the simple act of being with his loved ones, sharing stories, and creating memories that will be cherished forever.
