Richard Carlton Noll
September 5, 1943 — October 29, 2026
Richard Carlton Noll, a devoted family man and passionate craftsman, passed away peacefully at home in hospice care on October 29, 2026. Born on September 5, 1943, in Scott City, Kansas, Richard lived a life filled with love, creativity, and service. He was 83 years old.
Richard's journey began in a close-knit family, the cherished son of Dr. and Mary Noll. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dr. Thomas Noll, and sisters Mary Kay Ferry, Luanna Beers, and Jackie Halpin. Richard was a proud graduate of Adrian Catholic Central High School, class of 1961, where he formed friendships and values that would last a lifetime.
In 1961, Richard answered the call of duty and served honorably in the United States Navy until 1964. His sense of duty and patriotism was a guiding force throughout his life, and he later became a dedicated member of the Blissfield American Legion Robert Meachen Post from 1974 until his passing.
After his military service, Richard pursued higher education and earned an Associate Degree in Business Management from Toledo University in 1982. This foundation supported his successful career in the furniture industry. Richard spent a decade working with Miller's Pine Craft, setting up shows and selling pine furniture across five different states. In 2001, driven by his entrepreneurial spirit and love for craftsmanship, he established DNL Woodworks, which he passionately managed until 2025.
Richard deeply enjoyed building pine furniture and crafts, sharing his creations with others at various shows throughout the year. His work was a testament to his talent and dedication, and his pieces continue to bring joy to many homes.
A loving husband, Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Noll, who was his partner in all endeavors. Together, they built a beautiful family, including their children Karla Noll, Kirk Noll, Kirsten Hardenbrook, and Terry Noll. Richard's legacy of love extends to his grandchildren—Danita, Regina, Anya, Tristen, Kirkland, Lauren, and Haley—as well as five great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his memory and values.
