Richard's journey began in the picturesque town of Rhinelander, where he was embraced by the warmth of a small community and nurtured by its natural beauty. He carried the spirit of his birthplace with him throughout his life, always finding solace and joy in the serene act of fishing. His passion for this humble pursuit was not just a hobby but a way of connecting with nature and sharing cherished moments with his family and friends. A proud alumnus of Laona High School, Richard was known for his strength of character, his unwavering work ethic, and his capacity for kindness. His high school years marked the beginning of a lifelong journey of learning and exploration, where he developed friendships that would withstand the test of time. In a life that was rich with love and companionship, Richard found his greatest joy in his marriage to his beloved wife, Dorris Campbell.
