In Loving Memory

Richard Wall
November 4, 1963 — October 8, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Wall, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Born on November 4, 1963, in Washington D.C., Richard left us on October 8, 2026, after bravely battling pneumonia alongside other health challenges.
Richard was the cherished son of Robert (Bob) and Garnet Wall, who predeceased him and welcomed him into their loving embrace once more. He is survived by his devoted children, Todd and Taylor, who were the greatest joys of his life and the recipients of his wisdom and love. Richard was also a proud grandfather to four wonderful grandchildren: Ryan, Jackson, Mason, and Penelope, who will forever carry his legacy of kindness and humor. He is also survived by his brothers, Tom and Robert (Bob), who shared in his life's journey and countless memories.
A proud alumnus of Newark High School's class of 1982, Richard furthered his education at San Jose State, earning a Bachelor's degree that would pave the way for a distinguished career in the hospitality industry. Over four decades, Richard made his mark as a Sales Director for prestigious properties, including those within the IHG and Hilton groups, spanning several states. His professional accomplishments were matched only by his dedication to his family, whom he supported tirelessly both personally and professionally.
Richard's life was enriched by his passions, particularly his love for sports. An avid fan, he could often be found cheering on the 76ers, Phillies, Flyers, and his beloved Washington Redskins (Commanders). Yet, his greatest passion was his family, for whom he would go to any lengths to ensure their happiness and success.
Known for his humorous personality, Richard brought joy to all who knew him with his infectious laughter and memorable catchphrases like "Unbelievable" and "Make it a Great Day." His generous and caring nature left a profound impact on everyone he met, as he consistently prioritized the well-being of others above his own.
A service to honor Richard's life will be held on November 6, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Swan Law Funeral Home, located at 501 N Cascade Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. While flowers are welcome, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Richard's memory, as a tribute to his generous spirit.
As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, we find comfort in knowing that Richard's legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished him. As his family beautifully said, Richard will be "Forever in our Hearts."
In lieu of flowers, the family of Richard Wall welcomes donations to a charity, nonprofit, church, or organization of your choosing.
