It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Auclair. Richard passed unexpectedely on July 3, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on February 11, 1947, in Nashua, New Hampshire, Richard was the youngest child of Aimee and Laura Auclair, who precede him in death, along with his cherished sister, Alice Cochran, and brother, Donald Auclair. Richard leaves behind his wife, Ione Auclair (Buchholz), and his four sons, Rick Tarbox, Mark Krueger and his wife Nicole, Shane Auclair and his wife Margaret, and William Auclair and his wife Dawn. Richard was the proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A lover of the great outdoors, Richard found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether he was fishing at dawn, kayaking along Roosevelt Lake, or perfecting his golf swing, nature was his sanctuary. His love for a game of horseshoes was legendary, and he could often be found enjoying the camaraderie of friends, whether at the community swimming pool or in his own backyard. Richard also cherished walking his dogs and felt a unique freedom riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, wind on his face and the open road ahead. Richard was known for his friendly demeanor and genuine interest in people. He was the kind of person who could strike up a conversation with anyone, bringing warmth and smiles wherever he went. His kindness will be missed by all who had the pleasure of sharing in his journey. A celebration of Richard's life will be held on July 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM at The Links Estates Clubhouse. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the memory of him.
