He began his medical career as a General Practitioner in Oakhurst, California, where he touched countless lives with his compassionate care. Always eager to expand his knowledge and skills, Richard pursued further specialization in Anesthesiology, practicing at Sierra Hospital in Fresno, California. His passion for pediatrics led him to sub-specialize in Pediatric Anesthesia, which became the focus of his work for the last two decades of his medical career at Valley Children’s Hospital in Fresno. Richard was instrumental in the formation of the Pediatric Anesthesia Medical Group, Inc., ensuring that the youngest and most vulnerable patients received the highest standard of care.
Richard's professional life was complemented by his active involvement in the Fresno-Madera Medical Society, where he was a respected member for 45 years. His commitment to his colleagues and the medical community at large was unwavering.
A man of deep empathy and kindness, Richard's life was a testament to the power of service and love. His family finds solace in the many lives he touched and the enduring legacy he leaves behind.
