In Loving Memory

Richard Abrams
August 8, 1955 — October 17, 2026
Richard Abrams, born on August 8, 1955, in the city of Camden, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2026, following a brief and brave battle with cancer. Richard was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, whose life was marked by hard work, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to his family and friends.
Richard was the cherished son of John and Anna Abrams, who predeceased him along with his brothers, Albert and Charles. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his devoted wife of 47 years, Patricia, whom he married in June of 1979. Together, they built a warm and vibrant family, blessed with five children: Stefanie, John, Stacy, Joseph, and Kimberly. His life was further enriched by his doting grandchildren Chad, Jack, Savanna, Isabella, Emily, Nathan, Joshua, Aiden, Olivia, Hailey, Helena, Corey, Bobbie, Kaleb, Cody, Tapanga, and many more who were adopted into his heart, as well as his precious great-granddaughter, Scarlett.
Richard's career was a testament to his industrious spirit; he was known throughout his various jobs for his steadfast dedication and work ethic. Yet, it was his personal qualities that truly set him apart. Richard was renowned for his stubbornness, a trait that endeared him to those who knew him well. But more importantly, he had an incredible ability to make everyone feel like family, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
In his leisure time, Richard was an avid fan of WWE, often found cheering on his favorite wrestlers. He also enjoyed watching NCIS and Charmed, relishing the moments of relaxation these shows provided.
The family wishes to share a special message from Richard, who would remind us all to embrace our loved ones and enjoy the simple pleasures in life—like a box of Cheez-Its. In honoring his memory, they suggest donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Richard's generous spirit.
Richard's warmth, humor, and love have left an indelible impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Richard Abrams welcomes donations to a charity, nonprofit, church, or organization of your choosing.
