Born on September 14, 1995, in St. Louis, Missouri, Ricardo was a cherished son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend whose presence brought light and laughter to all who knew him.
From a young age, Ricardo exhibited a zest for life and an insatiable curiosity about the world around him. He graduated from Parkway West High School in 2014, where he formed lifelong friendships and began to cultivate his passions. Ricardo furthered his education at The University of Alabama-Tuscaloosa, where he embraced new experiences and enriched his life with knowledge and camaraderie.
Ricardo's professional journey began in retail, where his warm demeanor and kind spirit endeared him to colleagues and customers alike. He later transitioned into the food service industry, where he found his niche and quickly became a valued supervisor at Jet’s Pizza. His dedication to his work was matched only by his unwavering commitment to ensuring everyone around him felt valued and appreciated.
A big kid at heart, Ricardo was known for his infectious enthusiasm and boundless energy. He was an avid sports fan, finding joy in cheering for his favorite teams and engaging in spirited discussions about the latest games. His love for disc golf provided him with a peaceful escape, while his extensive collections of Hot Wheels, baseball cards, and Mario memorabilia were a testament to his playful spirit and appreciation for nostalgia.
Ricardo’s kindness and thoughtfulness were evident in every interaction, as he effortlessly made those around him feel special and cared for. He was a devoted brother to Dom Perez, who cherished their bond and shared countless adventures. Ricardo was a beloved grandson to Bill and Lee Tellmann and Linda Perez, who took pride in witnessing his growth and accomplishments. As a nephew to Tim Jones and Scott & Mayen Schuler, and a cousin to Matthew & Annamarie Jones, Ricardo was a steadfast presence in the lives of his family, offering his love and support unconditionally.
Ricardo leaves behind a family whose hearts are forever touched by his gentle spirit, including his parents, Ronaldo and Michelle Perez, who nurtured him with endless love and guided him with wisdom and grace. He will be deeply missed by countless friends and extended family members who were fortunate enough to experience his warmth and generosity.
A celebration of Ricardo’s life will be held on March 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Archway Memorial Chapel. As we gather to honor his memory, we find solace in the knowledge that Ricardo’s legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire us and remind us of the beauty of a life well-lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ricardo’s name to a charity of one’s choice, in keeping with his spirit of giving and compassion.
