It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of Rhonda Jones, a cherished soul who graced this world from September 27, 1966, to February 12, 2026. Rhonda departed peacefully in the comfort of her home, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Born in Amarillo, Texas, Rhonda was the beloved daughter of Elmer Wayne Jones and Joy Jeanenne Gattis, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by a cherished niece. Rhonda’s journey through life was shared with her loving partner, Dusty McDaniels, and her devoted daughter, Lakesha McClard, both of whom survive her. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she found immense joy and pride in her relationships with her three sisters: Lavone Jones of Albuquerque, NM, Kathy Campbell of Clariton, TX, and Dee Graham, alongside her husband Kirk, of Edgewood, NM. Her two brothers, Wayne and his wife Kelly Jones of Lubbock, TX, and Keven and his wife Monica Jones of Sayre, OK, also mourn her passing, along with her special friend and sister in faith, Mechelle Hudson.
Rhonda had 2 grandchilden Madison and Christpher and 2 special grand children Lucius and Ziva Moreno., Rhonda’s life was rich with love and laughter, nurtured by her passion for reading, working puzzles, and holiday crafting. Her creative spirit and gentle demeanor were a beacon of light to those around her, providing comfort and inspiration.
The family invites all who knew Rhonda to join in a celebration of her life on March 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Karen Sanders Senior Citizens Center, located on Hwy 66 in Sayre, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, Rhonda’s family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to a local food pantry, a cause she held close to her heart.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at Roger Mills Hospital and St. Anthony’s for their compassionate care during Rhonda’s final days. They also wish to express heartfelt thanks to Dusty McDaniels, Mechelle Hudson, Carie Moreno, Dawn Thomas, and Kinya Price, whose unwavering support and love were a source of great comfort.
Rhonda’s gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and boundless love will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. As we bid farewell to a remarkable woman, we hold on to the precious memories she leaves behind, forever grateful for the time we shared in her presence.
