It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of our beloved Rhonda Gail Landrum, who left this world peacefully on June 2, 2026, at SCRMC. Born on August 10, 1972, in Laurel, Mississippi, Rhonda's 53 years with us were marked by resilience, love, and an unwavering spirit that touched everyone who knew her. Rhonda was the cherished daughter of Eva Lee Langley and the late Howard Landrum. Her father preceded her in death, but his influence and love remained with her throughout her life. Rhonda is survived by her devoted mother, Eva Langley, who was her rock and support through life's many challenges. A proud and loving mother, Rhonda's legacy is carried forward by her three children: Hailey Saul, Bradley Matthews, and Paige Gambrell. Her love and guidance have shaped them into the remarkable individuals they are today. In addition, she leaves behind three adoring grandchildren: Abigail Saul, Raylee Saul, and Chase Matthews, who brought immense joy and pride to her heart. Rhonda grew up surrounded by the warmth and camaraderie of her siblings, Doug Landrum, Rosie Ratcliff, and Jackie Ward, who were her lifelong companions and confidants. Her extended family includes numerous step-siblings, nieces, nephews, and countless loved ones, all of whom will dearly miss her infectious laughter and steadfast presence. Throughout her life, Rhonda was known for her unique personality and tough skin, qualities that helped her navigate the trials of life with grace and dignity. She faced hardships and illnesses with a resilience and strength that inspired everyone around her. Yet, beneath that tough exterior was a heart full of kindness, compassion, and an unwavering love for others. Rhonda's private funeral service will take place on June 5, 2026, where her family and close friends will gather to honor her memory and celebrate the beautiful life she lived. The family extends their deepest gratitude to everyone who has offered support, sympathy, and prayers during this difficult time. Your kindness and compassion have been a source of comfort and strength. A special thank you to Colonial Funeral Services for their professionalism and care in making this process as seamless as possible for our family. She will forever be in our hearts, her legacy living on in the memories we cherish and the love she gifted us all.
