May 1, 1957 — April 6, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Reynaldo Santiago Flores, who left us on April 6, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on May 1, 1957, in San Antonio, Texas, Reynaldo lived a life filled with love, dedication, and joy, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories and enduring friendships.
Reynaldo was the beloved son of Cristina Flores and the late Juan Flores Sr. His early years were spent in San Antonio, where he cultivated a deep appreciation for family, community, and the simple pleasures of life. He graduated from Burbank High School, where he made lifelong friendships and developed an enduring love for sports.
Reynaldo's professional life was marked by his longstanding career at HEB, where he was admired not only for his hard work and dedication but also for his warm smile and kind heart. His colleagues remember him as a reliable and generous friend, always ready with a helping hand or a word of encouragement.
Outside of his career, Reynaldo found joy in the tranquility of fishing, often spending weekends by the water, casting a line into the depths and finding peace in nature's embrace. He was also an avid sports enthusiast, with a particular fondness for football and basketball, passions he shared with his family and friends, often gathering to cheer on his favorite teams with an infectious enthusiasm.
Reynaldo's family was his pride and joy. He is survived by his loving mother, Cristina Flores, and his devoted son, Hector Flores, who carries forward his father's legacy of kindness and integrity. Reynaldo was a cherished brother to Bridget (Richard), Jessica (Andrew), and Fredrick, and a beloved uncle to his numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Juan Flores Sr., his brother Juan Flores Jr., and his sister Sandra Gomez, whose memories he held close to his heart.
Reynaldo's life was a testament to the power of love, friendship, and community. He was a man who valued the connections he made, and who treated everyone he met with respect and warmth. His absence leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends, but his spirit lives on in the stories, laughter, and love he shared with those fortunate enough to have known him.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their support and love during this difficult time. A celebration of Reynaldo's life will be held at a later date, where friends and family can gather to share their memories and honor the remarkable life he lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Reynaldo's memory, as a way to continue his legacy of kindness and generosity.
Reynaldo Santiago Flores will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will forever be etched in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace, knowing that he made the world a better place with his presence.
