Reverend Victor Ogbebor, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and community pillar, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and entrepreneurship. Born on February 2, 1958, in Benin City, Nigeria, to Igbiweka Ogbebor and Oghogho Ogieva, Victor's life was a testament to dedication, hard work, and the power of faith. Victor's journey began at Immaculate Conception College in Benin City, where he attended from 1972 to 1976. Known for his intelligence, athleticism, and charismatic personality, he left a lasting impression on classmates and teachers alike. In 1976, he ventured to the United States, seeking higher education and new opportunities, eventually settling in Oakland, California. A man of many talents, Victor excelled in the field of technology, completing Service Education Programs with COMPAQ Computer Corporation and establishing his own business, Compu World. His entrepreneurial spirit extended to the fashion industry, where alongside his beloved wife Rebecca, he founded Wilsdom African Designs. This successful venture flourished for 35 years, renowned for its exquisite embroidery and unique designs cherished by many. Victor's personal life was as rich as his professional endeavors. His marriage to Colotta Wilson blessed him with a son, Nosa. After returning to Nigeria, he welcomed twin daughters Pauline and Paulette. Later, he met and married Rebecca Washington, with whom he shared a deep bond. Together, they welcomed their son Courage, and enjoyed nurturing their blended family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In 2008, Victor and Rebecca were ordained as ministers under the "Living Hope Gospel Ministries International," deepening their commitment to spiritual service. Victor treasured moments spent with family, guiding them spiritually and encouraging their educational pursuits. His visits to Nigeria, especially to honor his late mother, held profound significance, marking cherished milestones in his life journey. Victor's love for life extended to his passions, including a fondness for Bob Marley's music and a talent for golf. Whether studying scripture in his gazebo or perfecting his putting skills, he embraced life with joy and enthusiasm, traits that endeared him to all who knew him. Predeceased by his parents, brothers Festus, Michael, and Courage, and other beloved family members, Victor is survived by his devoted wife Rebecca, sister Patience Eweka, brother Osammy Ogbebor, sons Nosa and Courage, step-son Aven Stanley, 15 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. His legacy of love and faith continues to inspire his extended family and friends worldwide. A service to honor Reverend Victor Ogbebor's life will be held on September 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Mission Funeral Home, 22297 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA 94541.
