Born on December 14, 1964, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Resita was the cherished daughter of the late Richard Mason Hutchins and Lula Mae Hutchins. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and devotion that will forever be remembered by those whose lives she touched.
Resita's journey began in the vibrant community of Fort Wayne, where she cultivated lifelong friendships and values that would guide her throughout her life. Her career at the Fort Wayne Newspapers spanned an impressive 23 years, where she was known not only for her work ethic but for her kindness and the warm camaraderie she shared with her colleagues. Her dedication to her work was a testament to her steadfast character and the quiet strength she carried with grace.
A woman of faith, Resita's perseverance and gentle spirit were her hallmark. She was a praying woman, whose faith provided her with the strength to face life's challenges with dignity and courage. Her life was a testament to the power of quiet strength and unwavering belief.
Resita's joy was found in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was indulging in a day of shopping, savoring delicious foods, or spending cherished hours on the phone with family and friends. Her great-grandson, affectionately called Juiceman, was a particular joy, and their conversations were filled with laughter and love, a reflection of the close bond they shared.
Resita is survived by her beloved family, including her brothers, Garrett Hutchins and his wife Jessica, and Eunice Hutchins, who will cherish her memory and carry forward her legacy of love. Her nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness.
Though she has departed from this earthly realm, Resita's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Her life was a tapestry of love, woven with threads of devotion, faith, and joy. She taught us the importance of family, the value of perseverance, and the power of a kind word.
In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Resita's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her name to a charity of your choice, as a way to continue Resita's legacy of kindness and generosity.
