Renato E. Perez, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on October 3, 2026, after facing his illness with grace and courage. Born on May 13, 1948, in Blumentrit, Manila, Renato grew up in a loving family, the cherished son of Gregorio and Iluminada Perez. Renato's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and dedication. He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Magdalena Perez, his parents, and his sister, Amelia Perez. He is survived by his beloved son, Alistair Perez, and his siblings: Teresita, Patricio, Benedicto, Wilfredo, Cora, Rosie, Arturo, Ed, Gil, and Roy, who will continue to cherish his memory. In 1978, Renato began his career as a clerk at a collection agency in San Francisco, California, where he worked until 1989. He later served the Sequoia School District in Redwood City, California, as a maintenance worker. His colleagues remember him as a dedicated and reliable employee who always brought joy to the workplace. Renato married the love of his life, Magdalena, in Redwood City, California. Together, they built a life filled with shared dreams and cherished moments. Renato was an avid fisherman who never missed an opening day, and he found joy in the simple pleasure of watching television, especially cheering for his favorite team, the Golden State Warriors. Renato's quick wit and warm smile were legendary, always ready to lighten the mood with a well-timed joke. His ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued was a testament to his generous spirit and kind heart. Renato's kindness and generosity touched the lives of countless people, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Renato's life at a service on October 19, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Angels on Market Street, Daly City, California. Renato E. Perez will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
