Rena Rayford

Rena Rayford, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving daughters and granddaughter. Born on May 23, 1945, in the quaint town of Elaine, Arkansas, Rena was the daughter of Rev. Albert Rayford and Dorothy Rayford, who instilled in her a deep love for family and faith. Rena's life was a testament to devotion and resilience. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Frank Rayford, her children Lilly Estelle, Everette, and Baby boy Keel, as well as her grandsons Raymond and Wesley. She is survived by her daughters Christine Moss, Dorothy (Dave) Angel Josie Louis, and Sonya Louis, and her sons Sidney Littlejohn and Amos. Her legacy continues through her 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, each carrying forward her spirit and values. A gifted musician, Rena dedicated much of her life to playing the piano for numerous churches. Her music touched the hearts of many, providing a beautiful backdrop to countless church services and community gatherings. Rena was a pillar of Mount Olive Baptist Church and an esteemed member of the Eastern Star, where she contributed her talents and spirit until her passing. Beyond her musical talents, Rena found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved fishing and cooking, often sharing her culinary delights with family and friends. Her home was a haven of warmth and laughter, where she spent cherished moments with her daughters Christine, Dorothy, Josie, and her granddaughter Aanya, singing and playing the piano. Rena's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Vineyards At Fowler for their compassionate care and love for Rena, treating her with the tenderness she so deserved.
