In Loving Memory

Rena Irwin
April 4, 1940 — August 21, 2026
On August 21, 2026, Rena H. Irwin (Nana) was welcomed into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, to be reunited with her husband, Don, of over 58 years. Born on April 4th in Charlotte, North Carolina, she lived a life marked by compassion, music, and steadfast faith. Her life was a living testimony of God’s grace. For countless years, she joyfully served in children’s ministry, reflecting the love of Christ in every interaction. Her dedication to children in public schools earned her a lifetime PTA President’s Award. While raising her children, her love of music led her to teach piano lessons from home. She also impacted countless college students and coworkers while serving in administrative roles at Trevecca Nazarene University, her alma mater, for over 25 years. She is survived by a sister, LaVerne Williams, son Chris (Yvonne) Irwin, daughter Cynthia (Chris) Feinstein, and three grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of faith and countless friends who will remember her warm smile, quick wit and gentle encouragement. We take comfort in knowing she has heard the words, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant’.
