With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rejelio Bermudez-Martinez on September 7, 2026. He was 76 years old. Rejelio Bermudez-Martinez was born on July 30, 1950, in Tijuana, Mexico. Throughout his life, Rejelio was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to those around him. He devoted more than 45 years of his life to the oil-rig industry, where he worked tirelessly and took pride in leading good teams and getting the job done. He spent many years working in Carrizo Springs, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, leadership, honesty, and integrity. Rejelio’s life extended far beyond his career. He was a funny, loving, caring, and generous man, as well as a great friend to many. He had a warmth and sense of humor that made an impression on those who knew him. His creative spirit could be seen through his love of crafting and painting, which gave him a special way to express himself and enjoy his time. Above all, Rejelio treasured his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Thalia H. Martinez, with whom he shared many years of love and memories. He was a loving father to Ignacio Felipe Martinez and Lizell Martinez, and a cherished grandfather to Jacklynn Marie Puente, April Lynn Puente, Roel M. Puente III, and Isabell Garcia Martinez. Rejelio adored his family and took great joy in the love and connections they shared. His laughter, kindness, and love will continue to live on through his children, grandchildren, and future generations. Following Rejelio’s passing, his close relatives gathered together in Tijuana, Mexico, to honor his life and say their final goodbyes. His ashes were lovingly sprinkled over the ashes of his parents, allowing him to rest alongside them in his birthplace. This final gathering was a meaningful moment for his family, who came together to surround him with love one last time. Rejelio Bermudez-Martinez will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, extended family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life was filled with hard work, laughter, creativity, friendship, and above all, love for his family. Though we must say goodbye, the memories Rejelio gave us will remain.
