The beloved son of George Robert Murray Sr. and Ophelia Johnson Murray, Reggie was a cherished brother to Cynthia M. Deberry and a host of special brother/friends, including Berry Townsend and David Allen. He now reunites in peace with his predeceased brother, George Murray Jr., and his “special brother/friend” Bryron, whose memories he held dear. His passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of his surviving family members, including his devoted parents, George and Ophelia, and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who adored him. A product of the Columbus Public School system, Reggie graduated from Marion Franklin High School before embarking on a journey of higher learning and musical exploration. He attended Anderson University in Indiana, where his passion for music flourished through the founding of the singing group "Fruit of the Spirit." His academic path also led him to the Columbus College of Arts and Design, where he honed his artistic talents. Reggie's career was as diverse as his interests. A multi-talented individual, he embraced various roles, from owning a farm in Indiana to serving as a Holistic Health Specialist. In this role, he cultivated his own herbs, sharing his knowledge of natural remedies and encouraging others to explore alternative medicine. Yet, his true passion lay on the open road, driving his truck across the country and reveling in the beauty of nature. A man of deep faith, Reggie was actively involved from a young age in the First Church in Columbus, Ohio. Known for his quick wit and love of engaging in meaningful conversations, he delighted in sharing his beliefs and debating biblical topics with others. His creativity extended to writing, and he was on the brink of publishing one of his greatest works, a testament to his unique perspective and enduring spirit. Reggie's life will be celebrated in a service on August 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Caliman Funeral Services, located at 3700 Refugee Road, Columbus, OH 43232. In honoring his memory, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Reggie's generous and giving nature.
