Regina Lynne Lecaur

December 18, 1963 — June 24, 2026

The world is a little dimmer today as we announce the passing of a remarkable woman, Regina Lynne Lecaur, who left this world on June 24, 2026, after a courageous battle with lymphoma. Born on December 18, 1963, in Houston, Texas, Regina graced this earth with her boundless love and radiant spirit for 62 years. Regina was the cherished daughter of Daniel Freeman Lecaur and Linda Joyce Downey. She is now reunited in eternal peace with her father, Daniel, and the love of her life, Alfred Resendez Jr., whom she met at the tender age of 17. Together, Regina and Alfred built a rich life filled with love, laughter, and resilience, raising their four children and countless other adopted children who found sanctuary in their home. Regina's legacy is carried forward by her devoted mother, Linda Joyce Downey; her loving siblings, Lydia Gore and Daniel Lecaur; and her adoring children, Jeramy Resendez and his wife Samantha, Desiree McNett and her husband Lee, Alfred Resendez III and his wife Trixie, and Jason Resendez his wife Katheryn. Regina's heart swelled with pride and joy for her 11 grandchildren—Justine, Justin, Rebecca, Gabriella, Delila, Leela, Eli, Rebecca, Logan, Isabella, and Stella—and her two precious great-grandchildren. Throughout her life, Regina was a woman of many skills, never shying away from hard work. Her dedication to her family was her greatest pride, and she embodied the role of a loving matriarch with grace and strength. Her smile, which could light up any room, was a testament to her ability to make friends wherever she went. Regina always had a song in her head and a dance in her step, bringing joy to those around her. Regina's passions were as diverse as they were vibrant. She found joy in dancing under the stars, gathering around bonfires, exploring new culinary delights, and most importantly, spending quality time with family and friends. Her big heart and infectious laughter left an indelible mark on everyone she met. A service to celebrate Regina's beautiful life will be held at Sunflower Baptist Church, located at 5353 Sunflower Rd, Livingston, TX 77351. We invite all those who knew and loved Regina to join us in honoring her memory and sharing in the joy she brought to our lives. As we say goodbye to our beloved Regina, we carry her spirit with us, forever in our hearts. Rest easy, Regina, knowing that your legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all. "Forever in our hearts, rest easy."
