It is with heavy hearts and deep appreciation for her life that we announce the passing of Regina Demorris Barge, who peacefully departed this world on April 16, 2026, at the age of 65. Regina was born on August 2, 1960, in Atlanta, Georgia, to her loving parents, Joyce and Eugene Barge. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering faith.
Regina was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and compassion touched everyone she met. She was predeceased by her devoted parents, Joyce and Eugene Barge; her cherished son, Jamal O'Neal Barge; her brothers, Deacon Larry Clifton and David Clifton; her sister, Sherron Clifton; and her brothers-in-love, Bernard Sypo and Jerome Carter. Their memories will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who survive her.
Regina's legacy continues through her devoted children: Neboaniseyia E. Barge-Wynn and her husband Tramayne, Kenneth D. Wright Jr. and his wife Rena, and Marquita L. Wright. Her nurturing spirit lives on in her ten beloved grandchildren: Nykeria Barge, Martinez Barge, Tremal Wynn, Tramayne Wynn Jr., Taraji B. Houston, Kenneth D. Wright III, Kennedi Wright, Tamia Houston, Kendrick Wright, and Kaden Merritt. Regina was also blessed with the joy of great-grandmotherhood to two precious great-grandsons, Carter and Cameron Barge. Her family was her pride and joy, and she dedicated her life to their happiness and well-being.
Regina was a cherished sister to her three sisters: Tyereon Johnson and her husband James, Latrece Sypho, and Nedra Carter. Her love extended to a large family of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, who all held a special place in her heart.
Regina's educational journey began at Dean Rusk Elementary and continued through JE Brown High. She was a lifelong learner who instilled the value of education in her family. Her faith was her guiding light, and she was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she was baptized and cultivated a deep love for the Lord. Her spirituality was evident in every aspect of her life, and she inspired all who knew her with her kindness and compassion.
Regina's love for her family and community was boundless. She was the heart of family gatherings, always ensuring that everyone felt loved and included. Her sense of humor, infectious laughter, and warm hugs will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
While Regina's physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to guide and protect her family. Her legacy of love and faith will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.
A celebration of Regina's life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Regina's name, reflecting her generous and giving spirit.
