It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rebecca Michele Graves, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Rebecca left this world peacefully on June 3, 2026, at the age of 77, in the comfort of her home, where she had created a sanctuary of love and warmth. Born on June 13, 1948, in Tempe, Arizona, Rebecca was the cherished daughter of Jimmy Ruth Letarte and Raymond Letarte. From an early age, she demonstrated a lively spirit and an unwavering kindness that would become the hallmark of her life. Rebecca was a graduate of Tempe High School, where she proudly cheered on the Buffaloes. Her passion for beauty and creativity led her to cosmetology college, where she honed her skills, eventually sharing her talents with many as a valued hairstylist at the Superstition Springs JCPenney Hair Salon. In her professional life, Rebecca wore many hats. She was not only a skilled cosmetologist but also a compassionate caregiver with Right at Home, where she provided comfort and support to those in need. Rebecca’s nurturing nature extended beyond her professional life, touching all who were fortunate enough to know her. Rebecca was a devoted member of the Tempe First Baptist Church since she was a little girl. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, providing her with strength and purpose. She was active in her church community, always willing to lend a hand or offer words of encouragement to those around her. Rebecca cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her loving children, James Sidabras, Michele Reeder, Lisa Barbarisi, and David Sidabras; her dear grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and pride; and her extended family, including Lisa Ann Sidabras, Nina Michele Rizzio Sidabras, Eric Reeder, Ryan Barbarisi, Amanda Reeder, Emily Reeder, Adam Sidabras, Nick Barbarisi, and Angelina Barbarisi. Her family was her world, and she delighted in watching them grow and succeed. A woman of many passions, Rebecca loved traveling across Arizona, savoring its beauty and diversity. She was an avid movie enthusiast and found great joy in watching her favorite TV show, "Bones," often sharing this pastime with her beloved Lisa Ann Sidabras. Rebecca's warm, inviting nature drew people to her, and she had a remarkable ability to see the good in everyone she met, never passing judgment and always offering an open heart. Rebecca's life was a testament to her resilience and strength. Though her journey through marriage was not without challenges, she embraced her independence with grace and humor, choosing to keep the last name "Graves" as a reminder of her hard-won freedom and happiness. As we say goodbye to this remarkable woman, we hold onto the legacy of love and kindness she leaves behind. Rebecca's spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her life was a beautiful example of the power of compassion and the importance of family. A celebration of Rebecca’s life will be held at Tempe First Baptist Church, where her memory will be honored with love and gratitude. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of one's choice in Rebecca's name, continuing her legacy of giving and caring for others. Rebecca Michele Graves will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will live on in the cherished memories of her family and friends. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so generously shared with the world.
