A cherished daughter, Rebecca was born to Lorianne Lawson and the late Michael Lawson. From a young age, she exhibited a protective spirit and boundless compassion that would come to define her life and career. As a Forensic Psychologist and SVU Attorney, Rebecca dedicated herself to the formidable task of saving and representing women. Her colleagues and clients knew her as a “fierce protector,” and her work was more than a profession—it was her passion and her mission. Rebecca was predeceased by her beloved father, Michael Lawson, and her dear son, Brantley Lawson, both of whom she now joins in peace. Her surviving family, including her devoted mother, Lorianne Lawson, and countless close friends, along with the many lives she touched and saved, carry forward her memory and spirit. Outside of her professional life, Rebecca found immense joy in the simple pleasures of being with loved ones. The bond she shared with her mother was one of profound depth, marked by shared moments and mutual support. Rebecca’s love for singing was another expression of her vibrant spirit, a way she connected with those around her, bringing joy and light into many lives. Rebecca was known for her grace under pressure and fierce determination. Her loving and caring nature endeared her to all who knew her, while her protective spirit inspired others to stand up for what is right.
