Rebecca L. Hopkins, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on August 21, 1942, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, Rebecca was the beloved daughter of Walter Sidney Lane and Rebecca Price Lane. Rebecca's life was a testament to love, faith, and community. She shared 62 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Harry C. Hopkins, building a life filled with warmth and joy. Together, they raised two wonderful children: Brenda Miller of Chapin, SC, and Keith Hopkins of Simpsonville, SC. She was a proud graduate of The University of South Carolina, and throughout her professional career, Rebecca made significant contributions to the wealth management industry through various administrative roles. Her work was defined by her dedication and meticulous attention to detail. A woman of deep faith, Rebecca was a devoted member of New Heights Church, where she poured her heart into everything she did. Whether singing in the choir, leading prayer groups, or participating in church activities, her faith was the cornerstone of her life. Her home was a haven for prayer groups and bible studies, where she welcomed all with open arms and a warm heart. Rebecca was also passionate about Clemson Athletics, particularly enjoying the excitement of traveling to watch football games. Since 1996, she was a proud member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association, sharing countless adventures on the open road with her husband, as they traveled on their motorcycle across the United States. Her love extended beyond her immediate family to her cherished grandchildren: Courtney Tuck (Jordan) of Goose Creek, SC, Logan Miller of Asheville, NC, and Benjamin Hopkins with his fiancé, Samantha Hayes of Lake Wylie, NC. Rebecca was also the proud great-grandmother to Norah, Evelyn, and Elizabeth Tuck, all of Goose Creek, SC. Her loving sister, Barbara Neville of Suwanee, GA, survives her as well. Rebecca's legacy of love and faith continues to inspire those who knew her. Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice, honoring her generous spirit and commitment to helping others. Rebecca L. Hopkins will be fondly remembered for her unwavering faith, her boundless love for her family and friends, and her zest for life. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and a life well-lived. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
