Rebecca Gasparino

Rebecca Gasparino, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 5, 2026. Born on July 20, 1953, in Shelbyville, Indiana, Rebecca, affectionately known as Becky, was the cherished daughter of the late Paul and Constance Martin. She was also predeceased by her brother, Jeffrey Martin. Rebecca's journey in life was marked by her unwavering love for her family and an enduring spirit that touched everyone she met. She graduated from Mundelein High School with the class of 1971, where her radiant personality began to shine. Becky married Arthur Gasparino on April 11, 1981, and celebrated the birth of their daughter Shannon December 19th, 1983. Becky leaves behind her beloved daughter Shannon Gasparino. Her brothers, Paul A. Martin and William G. Martin, also survive her, and they remember her as a loving sister with an unyielding zest for life. In her years residing in Florida, Rebecca developed a fondness for Disneyworld, frequently visiting with a particular affection for the Minions, who never failed to bring a smile to her face. She was well-known in her community for her love of pets, often seen enjoying long walks with her dogs, engaging in cheerful conversations with fellow pet owners. Despite the challenges she faced with Diabetes, Rebecca's indomitable spirit and infectious humor never waned. She was a beacon of light, sharing laughter and warmth with family and friends alike, creating a legacy of joy and resilience. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the friends, neighbors, and healthcare personnel who supported Rebecca through her medical journey. In honoring her memory, they invite those who wish to contribute to a worthy cause to consider donating to the American Diabetes Association, reflecting Rebecca's own enduring battle with the disease. A private ceremony will be held to commemorate Rebecca's life, in accordance with the family's wishes. As we bid farewell to a remarkable soul, we celebrate the love and joy she brought to the world.
