Rebecca Brunson

Rebecca Brunson passed away in sleep peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at WellStar Medical Center, Augusta GA. She was born November 13, 1965 to the late Carrie Lee Johnson and Boot Brunson. Rebecca was a devoted and faithful Jehovah’s Witness for over 21 years, being baptized on February 13, 2005. She was a dedicated pioneer, a loving mother, and a cherished friend who found joy in traveling, shopping, and spending precious time with her family and friends. Rebecca had a love for adventure and enjoyed seeing the world, especially through the many cruises she took with fellow Witnesses. She also loved the simple pleasures in life—sharing laughter and memories with those she loved, and, of course, enjoying a good plate of crab legs. She was a constant source of love, wisdom, and encouragement. Rebecca was always willing to lend a helping hand, serving anyone in need without hesitation. Her generous spirit and caring heart touched the lives of countless people. Her greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally. She guided them with wisdom, patience, grace, and unwavering love, always wanting the very best for them. Rebecca’s legacy lives on through the values she instilled in those around her: kindness, resilience, compassion, faith, and, above all, a deep love for Jehovah. She understood that love is one of the greatest gifts we can give and receive. She will be remembered not only for all that she did, but for who she was—a beacon of warmth, faith, love, and light in the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Rebecca was truly loved and will be missed by her love ones. She leaves to cherish her fond memories: One son Ronald Brunson, one daughter Alexis Brunson, two grandchildren MaQuaveon Brunson (Qua) and Gracie Brunson; and one great grandchild Malachai Brunson. Three living sisters Carolyn Still, Grace Norris and Wendy Norris. She will also be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbors and her Jehovah Witness Family.
